Whether you are new to this idea or not, you will love these tasty treats.  Make them small like I did, or big for a nice meal.  Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner or Snack you are gonna want to let these flavors explode in your mouth!  It's fun, it's different, it's nothing less than delicious!  Give them a try.



Biscuits and Gravy Bombs


Ingredients

  • 1 tsp. vegetable oil
  • 1/2 lb. sausage of choice
  • 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
  • 2 c. whole milk
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • dependant on what type of sausage used, you may choose to add garlic, onion, sage, etc.
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuits (or make your own dough if you are feeling "extra" this day)
  1. Directions

    Step 
    1- Preheat oven to 375ยบ and spray a baking dish with cooking spray. In a large skillet over medium heat, heat oil. Add sausage and cook, breaking up with the back of a spoon, until no longer pink. Sprinkle flour over sausage and stir to combine. Pour over milk and bring to a simmer. Season with salt, pepper and any other seasonings, cook until thick, Set aside to cool. Refrigerate overnight or freeze by spoonfuls.
  2. Step 2- Flatten each biscuit round about 1/4” thickness. Top each round with sausage gravy. Bring edges of dough together and pinch to seal. Place in prepared baking dish seam side-down.
  3. Step 3- Bake at 350* until biscuits are nicely golden, 20 to 25 minutes. Serve warm. Leftovers do well in refrigerator or can be frozen.
